Hello, I’m Laurie.

I know how leading a team can feel like trying to solve a complex puzzle where the pieces keep changing shape.

 

Misunderstandings surface, confusion reigns, and opportunities can be missed. I deeply empathize with the frustration and isolation that comes with carrying the weight of your team's success on your shoulders.

I also know the fears that keep you up at night - disconnection, failure, and being misunderstood - questioning what you believe in. 

Like you, I've experienced the thrill of victory, the weight of choices, and the challenge of guiding a team that feels unheard and misunderstood.

My career began as a Radiation Therapist in oncology, where purposeful collaboration and valuing every contribution weren’t just important - they were lifesaving. In that high-stakes environment, I saw how a team united by a clear purpose could achieve remarkable results.

It taught me the three essential elements of effective teams:

  1. A Deep Understanding of Purpose: Knowing exactly who we serve and why our work matters.

  2. Feeling Valued: Each team member understanding their crucial contribution to the bigger picture.

  3. Connectedness and Belonging: Supporting each other through challenges, creating unity that transcends mere collegiality.

This experience ignited a lifelong passion for helping teams work together more effectively.

When I transitioned into the business world, I was struck by how often these principles were missing. Traditional leadership often prioritizes short-term gains over people, leading to misalignment and a lack of trust.

However, real, lasting change starts with you and your leadership within your own team. You are the culture your team experiences most.

This realization sparked my mission: to help purposeful leaders build environments where every member feels valued, empowered, and connected to a shared purpose.

In 2021, I developed UNIFIED, a tailored strategy designed to break down the internal barriers that stifle true collaboration.

Now, I guide leaders in creating positive team cultures where individual strengths fuel collective progress and long-lasting success.

Change doesn’t have to come from the top down. By focusing inward and leveraging your own leadership, you can create the positive environment you seek, with a ripple effect that extends beyond your immediate circle.
